Background information

A manufacturer of chemical raw materials from coal tar, petroteer and other raw materials operates a biological treatment plant, from which polluted air flows are derived. As part of the reduction of emissions in accordance with the VOC directive, the company is obliged to operate an exhaust air purification system.

In particular, the contents of BTX were not reliably retained and degraded. The already approved and installed biofilter system was not up to the cleaning task and had to be replaced.
